College Life

If any of you are wondering why I finally broke down and got my own Facebook account, it was to keep up with my teenagers. This has been one of the ways to see what Tay is up to and how he is doing. Boys are not the best about calling home or keeping in contact and so I’ve became a Fbook junky.

Football

Here in the Johnson house there is one sport we love more than any other and that is FOOTBALL!!!!

This was the first year in 10 years that we did not get to watch Taylor play. Did I mention how hard this was? All I can say is the first night Ponderosa played I sat at home watching the BYU game bawling my eyes out. Chad kept hugging me and laughing, saying"it's going to be OK, he will play again". You would think that the fact that Logan watches Taylor's football DVDs twenty times a day would help, but it only made things worse. Well a couple of days later it was Mckay's and Peyton's turn and I could not of been more grateful to be able to watch them play. I won't lie that it took a little time to get in to it. It is hard to go from watching high school football back to peewee but it only took a couple of games and I was hooked. Both of them ended up playing tight end and only ended up winning a couple of their games but loved it and we’re  so sad to see the season end. We also ended up going to most of Ponderosa's games and realized how fun it was to watch them with out all the stress of having your kid play. Mckay was the ball boy for a couple of games and it took a while to get use to seeing that Johnson on the side lines compared to the one we are use to seeing. Now we get to go watch Pondo in the play-offs , GO MUSTANG!!!!

Logan takes a fall

Yes, I'm that mother who takes pictures of their children falling instead of running to help them.

Peyton and the game ball

Peyton started playing tackle football for the first time and did not care for it in the beginning. You have to remember that Peyton is my child who does not like to work. The first thing Peyton learned was football is hard work and it takes up a lot of his free time. But as soon as Peyton played in his first game and saw that the coach hands out a game ball to the best player after every game, he had a change of heart. For the next 3 weeks he worked his tail off at practice and in every game and by the 4th game of the season he got his game ball.

All he has talked about is how he wants to be "like Taylor", even lucked out and got his jersey number.

He plays tight end and had some great blocks this game.

He also was on the kick return and ran to catch the ball and ran it back for 20 yds.

Hannah's Lost Tooth

Hannah finally lost her first tooth.

As you can tell she was just a little excited. She has been looking forward to this day since Kindergarten.
(Don't mind the spaggetti all over her shirt, I guess this captures our REAL life)
