Family Pictures

Every year I like to take a family picture. I thought we would get one at the wedding since everyone was matching but it did not turn out. That is one thing I regret about that day, why did I not take more pictures. I did not even get one of all my kids together or alone, which made me really sad. I have a collage of the kids on our living room wall and every time I walk by it I go crazy because it looks like this.

The pictures are all out dated.

So a few weeks ago I spent the afternoon trying to put together outfits for a photo shoot. I started with 2 of my favorite outfits (of Hannah's, her clothes are a lot more fun than mine) and laid them on the bed. I than proceeded to go through every one's closets looking for coordinating outfits. At first it was fun layering all the clothes together than it just got overwhelming. After about an hour of this I pulled in Whit to help. She finally got sick of it too and said " Mom, it's fine, stop being so anal". I finally picked one group, ironed them and hung them in my closet. So last weekend I pulled them out and told every one to get dressed. I don't know how other families are but mine hates pictures(maybe the boys more than the girls) and boy did they complain. I wish it was not so hard to get every one smiling and looking but it is. Lets just hope my amazing brother in-law and photo shop can work magic so it looks like every one is smiling and looking. Here is the pre- edited version.

This is what Taylor looked like before I said "No Way".

Getting individual shots is not as hard.

I like this one better of Hannah but I want it to match with the other kids pictures.

I love pictures like this one that capture the moment.

This is one that needs to be photo shopped. Brooklyn's trying to grab the daisy and a few kids are not smiling but its as good as it got.
After 83 shots of this pose we managed to get this, still needs Andrew's magic.
Maybe this was the problem, he was our photographer. I love this kid and I consider him one of my own.

We took a timeout to roll down the hill.

And of course throw the football.

I think he saw a ghost.

At least Chad was a good sport, he now realizes how important pictures are.

Can you believe these guys are on Ponderosa's most wanted.

This is the "why do you have to take pictures while we are exploring" look.

He really is almost 18.

Brooklyn was so good and she still has her flower.

The walk back to the car and the end of the torture.
