This past week the kids and I were talking about Chad's next payday. Peyton looked at me and said" Mom, when is your payday". I fought back the tears and replied "everyday". In my mind though I was thinking, moms don't get "paydays". It had been a hard few days, Chad was out of town, the kids would not just sit and do their homework, everyone was fighting and Logan had thrown Mega blocks every where. It was five minutes to six and I had to be at the high school at six to put up football locker decorations and make next weeks decorations. When I got home at 7:30, Mckay had picked up every last block and was in bed reading. Peyton and Hannah were both a sleep. When I checked on Logan he was laying in bed with a bunch of toys and his orange Nerf glasses on. He looked at me and said "Hi Mommy, change my butt". As I was walking him to my room, I could here Brooklyn and when I checked on her she needed to be changed also. I laid both of them next to each other on my bed and Brooklyn kept trying to grab Logan. Every time she did he would giggle which would make her giggle, it was so sweet. After they were in bed, Whit told me to come look at some pictures of Homecoming week on facebook. It was so fun to talk with her and to be let into her world of friends and high school. Later after she had gone to bed, Taylor came home and we stayed up making grilled cheese sandwiches and laughing and talking(which does not happen often enough when you have a teenage son). When I went to bed that night and went to say my prayers. I went through my day and it struck me, these sweet little things that had happened that night were my"paydays". As I said my prayers I asked that I would always recognize my "paydays" and how special they are. Now I realize they happen more often than I thought and how I am definitely over paid.

Homecoming
I love Homecoming week, it is so fun to watch the kids get dressed up and the parade turned out to be a huge hit. I could not believe how many people showed up for it. The kids had so much fun watching it and came home with a ton of candy. Friday night was the football game , Ponderosa won 48-21. Tay had an amazing game, he had 355 passing yards, 86 rushing yards and 1 touchdown run. Saturday was the dance, Whit looked beautiful and Tay looked very handsome, both of them had a great night. The best part was my parents were here to share in all of it.
Taylor in his dodge ball uniform, his team won the award for best uniform.
I think all my kids are just a little goofy.
The back ground looks fake it's so beautiful.
The start of the Homecoming parade, Logan went nuts over the horses.
Whit on the Junior float.
Mckay, Peyt and Hannah giving the Jr. high mascot a high five.
The football float was awesome and a lot of work but well worth it.
Everyone just a little excited for the game to begin.
I really need to get this girl in gymnastics.

Mustang's Season Opener
Taylor's Senior sign, Brooklyn is just a little happy.
I love their smiles in this one, wish I would have turned off my flash.
Taylor warming up to play Wheatridge, who we lost to last year in the quarter finals.
The four captains getting ready to go out on the field.
Taylor in is "I'm going to rip somebody's head off stance" after one of his receivers dropped a wide open pass that would have resulted in a touchdown.
I wish this picture would not have been blurry, that's Tay in the end zone after he just scored a touchdown.
After another wide open dropped pass and a missed face mask call(on the 7yd. line), the Mustangs lost 23-7.
The boys praying together after the game.
Tay being interviewed by the Denver Post, he played a great game.
All these guys played well considering how young they all are, we only have 6 returning starters.
Sooo proud of this kid.
