36 Years Ago ......

Tomorrow is Chad's birthday, how blessed I am to have been apart of his life the past 17 years. He is the best husband and loves me more than I could ask for. He is the greatest dad and always gives so unselfishly to others, especially his kids. We are so grateful for his fun sense of humor and the joy he brings in to our home. I could not have asked for a better person to share my life with and raise our children together. We all love you so much, Happy Birthday!!!!!!!

The Christmas Season Begins

How we miss not living by family during the Christmas season. Luckily, we are so blessed to have so many wonderful friends that have become our family here in Parker. This past weekend our friends the Pantones invited us to a Christmas program at their church and a party at their home afterwords. The kids loved the white elephant gift exchange(they kept asking where the elephant was). I made the mistake of letting the kids wrap the gifts because Hannah got to go first and went straight for the huge package of gum. She would not even trade it for a Barbie. Logan got his first taste of eggnog and was in heaven but did not enjoy everyone laughing at his reaction, he started to cry. Peyton I guess loves cheese cubes and took half the platter, reminding me again the need for a manners lesson. We all had a wonderful time and look forward to next years party. We also enjoyed a visit from my parents and Meggie. Who had driven in that night to bring Christmas gifts and spend a few days with us. We had so much fun and already miss them. The kids were so excited that Daisy got to come on this trip, the poor dog is probably so grateful to be home. We hope everyone is enjoying the Christmas season, we miss you all.

Its Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

I finally am starting to feel like its Christmas time. The house is decorated, Christmas carols are on the radio, Christmas lights are everywhere and the kids are full of excitement. We had our ward Christmas party this weekend and the kids sang a beautiful rendition of Silent Night. Taylor and some friends went ice skating afterwords, in subzero temperatures but had a blast. And today I took our annual picture of the kids in front of the tree. Nineteen days to go and I'm going to try and enjoy every one of them.
