Where did that little boy go?

I can't believe Taylor is going to be "16". It seems like yesterday we were holding that sweet baby in our arms. I still remember the day he was blessed and his sweet smile as he looked up at Chad after his blessing. He was always such a happy baby and loved as much as any child could be loved. On his first day of Kindergarten his teacher read the book "The Kissing Hand" and I cried all the way home. I remember how grown up I thought he looked the day he was baptized, now when I see the pictures he looks so small. I loved watching him play football that first year and thought how could it get more exciting but after his game today(I don't think I've jumped up and down like that in a long time, he was amazing) it does not even compare. When he started 7th grade I was so worried about girls liking him, I did not even have a clue as to what was coming. How proud I am to have him as a son, I could not have asked for more. He has grown in to such an amazing young man and I can't believe how fast its gone by. Happy "16th" birthday Tay, we love you!!!!!!

Football

During the fall its pretty much whats going on in the Johnson family, whether we are watching it on TV or in person its what we do(some more than others, I refuse to continue watching BYU getting their butts kicked). Since moving to Denver we have become Broncos fans,( even though Chad may not admit it)what can I say after you attend a few games you can't help but love it. So instead of a Cowboys sweatshirt, Logan has a Broncos one. Lets hope it gives them better luck, so far they're not looking so hot. This past Thursday we took the whole family to Taylor's Varsity game, the kids loved it and Logan even fell asleep. On Saturday Taylor had his JV game and had 4 passing TDs and 1 running TD. We were so excited they won because they had the worst refs. ever. We honestly thought the refs. were part of the other team. Our boys would not even block towards the end of the game because they did not want another penalty. All I can say is "Congrats Mustangs, for beating both Palmer and the Refs".

Whit's Volleyball Game

Whit had her first home volleyball game. She has never played volleyball before and she made the freshman team. Both her serves made it over the net for points and she hit the ball back for another. I took a ton of pictures but because of the brightness in the gym they did not turn out. Here are a few that did.

First Day of School

Yesterday was the little kids first day of school. Mckay is in 4th grade, Peyt in 1st and Hanny in preschool. Sending the boys of was easy, it had been a long summer and we were ready for school to start. So I thought I was doing good but on my way to take Hannah the tears started flowing. I thought to myself did I not just do this with Peyt a few months ago but now he was in school all day. His teacher gets to spend more time with him than I do. As I looked back in my rear view mirror at Hannah, I could not believe she was old enough to be going to preschool and soon she would be in Kindergarten. Where had the time gone, at least I had Logan. In the end everyone had a great day at school and I made it through another mile stone with out to many tears.

We love Bald Boys

Well he finally did it! Chad shaved his head today to show his love and support for Kenna. We found out a few weeks ago that Kenna has leukemia and to show their love some of the boys in the family have or are going bald.

Wanna be photographers

Whit and I set up a make shift studio in Logan's room today so we could play photographers. He was so cute but did not like the hats. He does not like his head to be touched, so he kept shaking his head no. Well, I thought they turned out cute.

Taylor's first football game

Taylor (#14) had his first JV football game today, he was so happy to finally play after months of practice. Last night he dressed for varsity but did not get to play thanks to special teams mistakes. Today made up for it though, he threw 2 touch down passes and they won 14-6. He also had another first, a girl wore his jersey to the varsity game. Where did that little boy go and he will be 16 next month, yikes!!!!!!!!!

Hannah's Preschool Open House

Today we went to Hannah's open house for preschool. She has been looking forward to this day since Peyton had his. Hannah was really shy and asked me in the car on the way if she had to give Miss Heather a hug. After we did her scavenger hunt list she finally warmed up and said "Her house is nice and so is Miss Heather, I will give her a hug now".

Mckay and Peyton's Meet 'n' Greet

We are so excited to finally have the remodel of Mckay and Peyton's school complete. It has been fun having them home an extra few weeks but they are ready for school to begin. Yesterday we went to meet their teachers and take a tour of the new school. They both said it is awesome and we all think they are so lucky to be able to go to such a wonderful school.

Picnic In The Park

Whit took the little kids to the park for a picnic. After lunch she had them pose for pictures, she is really creative . She is the best big sister and turning in to an amazing photographer.
